Our History

Clinix Connect had its start in 2005 as Clinical Networks, operating under the name of ONN (the Optometry News Network) and ERTv (EyeRecommend TV). Two optometrists conceived of ONN to enhance the patient waiting room experience for optometrist clinics, while at the same time opening a new channel through which they could market their practice. Carrie Johnstone was hired as GM to manage the day-to-day operations, create custom playlists, and build and maintain relationships with the clinics and their suppliers.

The success of Clinical Networks opened additional opportunities to expand into other verticals throughout North America. A new digital company was created, and Carrie collaborated alongside its founder to establish the Hearing News Network (HNN), the Vision News Network (VNN), Beltone News Network (BNN) and the HearUSA Network.

In 2018 Clinical Networks became Clinix Connect when Carrie purchased the company. The ever-expanding network of clinics is testament to the support and exceptional, “5-star” service she provides.

Today, Clinix Connect continues to serve a broad range of health clinics, from vision care to hearing and everything in between.
